Arsenal Community (U9-U11) Outdoor Program
Community Players:
- Play in the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) league.
- All practices take place in Fort Saskatchewan.
- Practice frequency and times are determined by the coach.
- Two game per week in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Game Scheduling:
- U9-U11 teams play in the EMSA North division, with game schedules set by EMSA North.
- Team plays 2 games a week
- Games typically occur during the week, but times and days may vary.
Player Assessments:
- Fort Saskatchewan Soccer holds player assessments for all community teams (U9-U19).
- We aim to group players with similar skill levels and mindsets together.
- Assessments are conducted by a team of community coaches and the Program Directors.
- The assessment process includes skill-based evaluations and a game.
- After assessments, players are placed into EMSA tiers 4-6 based on their skills.
Game Duration and Tournament Structure:
- Game durations vary by age group.
- Teams in U11 play an initial round of 5 games, followed by reseeding based on performance in those games.
- U11 teams may have the opportunity to compete in the City Finals.
- U9 - U11 community teams do not have the opportunity to participate in provincials
