Arsenal Community (U9-11) Indoor Program
Arsenal Community Indoor Program
- League: The program is part of the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) league.
- Games: Played primarily at the three soccer centers in Edmonton and occasionally at the DCC (Dow Centennial Centre).
- Practice Location: All practices for community teams are held in Fort Saskatchewan at the DCC.
- Game Scheduling: EMSA determines the schedule, with games typically held on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Player Assessments:
- Held for players U9 to U11 by a team of community coaches and the Program Director.
- Includes skill-based assessments and a game.
- Players are grouped based on skill and like-mindedness.
- Team Placement: After assessments, teams are placed into EMSA tiers 4-6.
- Game Format: Matches consist of 2 x 25-minute halves.
- Seeding and Re-seeding:
- U11 teams play an initial round of 5 games.
- After the first round, teams are re-seeded based on results.
- There are two re-seeding rounds before the post-season.
- Post-Season:
- U11 teams can reach City Finals.
- U9- U11 are not eligible for provincials
- League Changes: EMSA may make changes to game schedules and league structures.
