Arsenal Community (U9-11) Indoor Program


Arsenal Community Indoor Program 

  • League: The program is part of the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) league.
  • Games: Played primarily at the three soccer centers in Edmonton and occasionally at the DCC (Dow Centennial Centre).
  • Practice Location: All practices for community teams are held in Fort Saskatchewan at the DCC.
  • Game Scheduling: EMSA determines the schedule, with games typically held on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Player Assessments:
    • Held for players U9 to U11 by a team of community coaches and the Program Director.
    • Includes skill-based assessments and a game.
    • Players are grouped based on skill and like-mindedness.
  • Team Placement: After assessments, teams are placed into EMSA tiers 4-6.
  • Game Format: Matches consist of 2 x 25-minute halves.
  • Seeding and Re-seeding:
    • U11 teams play an initial round of 5 games.
    • After the first round, teams are re-seeded based on results.
    • There are two re-seeding rounds before the post-season.
  • Post-Season:
    • U11 teams can reach City Finals.
    • U9- U11 are not eligible for provincials  
  • League Changes: EMSA may make changes to game schedules and league structures.
