Sponsorship and Fundraising

 

  Fundraising which requires a AGLC License needs to be reported to Fort Saskatchewan Soccer and Fort Saskatchewan Minor Sports Association.  

  • You must register for the appropriate license from AGLC
  • Teams must abide by all ALGC rules and regulations
  • Teams must submit required AGLC financial reports including final proceeds reconciliations to AGLC
  • Funds can only be used for what it is designated for
  • No portion of the fundraising proceeds should go any individual
  • After The AGLC fundraiser, an accurate record must be kept of the AGLC event including expenses and proceeds, this must be reported to the FSMSA office admin
  • Inform FSMSA admin of all AGLC license applications approvals
  • All receipts and copies of the final proceeds reconciliation must be turned in to the FSMSA admin to keep in records for 3 years
  • Non-compliance will result in FSMSA denying All AGLC licensed fundraisers for a period of 1 year for the sports

 

  Non-AGLC Fundraisers

  • Please fill out Team fundraising form on website
  • Teams must inform not only the donors but FSS and FSMSA of their intention for the funds raised
  • Fundraisers ran must not conflict with FSMSA policies
  • An accurate record of the non AGLC fundraiser must be reported along with receipts to FSMSA Admin and Soccer Coordinator
  • No fundraising money can be distributed to any individual
  • All fundraising money needs to be used for its  intended purpose

 

   TEAM SPONSORSHIP/DONATION

  • Team representative must let Fort Saskatchewan Soccer Coordinator know of incoming contribution
  • Donor must make cheques payable to FSMSA
  • Money from the sponsorship must be used for its intended purpose and according to the donors' guidelines
  • Once a team has purchased the item, they must submit receipt to the Soccer Coordinator for reimbursement of funds
  • If a charitable number is needed for tax receipt purposes, it can be given to the donor by FSS
  • A team when pursuing a contribution has to let the donor know that they are contributing to a particular team for that item and that the team sponsor is the sponsor on the front of their jerseys
  • All team members must identify as a member of that team when perusing donors and they do not represent FSS
