Overview of the Assessment Process

  • Who: Community players from U9 to U19
  • Purpose: To assess player skills and assign them to teams based on skill level and like-mindedness.
  • Use: The assessment also helps in determining the appropriate team tier, which will be submitted to EMSA (Edmonton Minor Soccer Association).

Structure of Assessments

  • Activities:
    • Skills-based drills
    • Scrimmage
  • Facilitators:
    • Run by the Arsenal Community Program Director and Assistant Director
    • Assessment evaluators are seasoned coaches

Required Equipment

  • Gym shorts
  • Shin guards
  • Soccer socks
  • Indoor soccer shoes (or running shoes if indoor shoes aren't available)
  • Water bottle

Additional Notes

  • Arrival Time: Players are asked to arrive 15 minutes before check-in.
